Baatein presents its fifth podcast on our weekly podcast channel called Baatein by Chhaya Dabas. Chhaya pens another story, that presents itself as a letter to a friend. A letter that travels many miles and years to share a memory. Tune in and listen to it with a friend. Also, hold onto it.

Episode 5 - A letter to a friend

Expression is personal. Expression is temperamental. Two poetesses come together in this episode to express a yearning through letters. Vrinda Vaid and Chhaya Dabas, find comfort in Hindustaani and English respectively. This jugalbandi is an amalgamation of these two languages and their individualistic, creative expression. Baatein presents - ek jugalbandi.

Episode 4 - Ek khaas jugalbandi

Savita is a woman of power, passion, and purpose. She is a masseuse by profession and a mother by identity. She lost her husband to cancer, three years ago. Their daughter became her only strength to battle depression and the unnecessary stereotypes and oppression of her society. After two years of self-doubt, she empowered herself and decided to take the reigns in her own hands. Now she lives her life as it meant to be - her own and not an extension of her husband's. Tune in to hear her story.

Episode 3 - Savita ki kahaani

This is the creators' episode. Baatien welcome Mr. Ansh who is a documentary filmmaker based in New Delhi. Having studied from UnionDocs, New York, he has pocketed some beautiful stories and film under his belt. Popularly known as @shutterchicken, he is a brilliant storyteller. Tune in and hear us talk about language, transmedia storytelling, the impact of stories and visual languages.
